Vet 4 weeks puppy will amputate the tail?
I just got a German shepherd puppy, I took him to the vet its first drug, and other things. Being a puppy and all he keeps biting its tail and it hurt. The vet shaved fur I think that hurt even more with his tail blades and is now saying he would amputate the tail due to a couple of bites! Its crazy, that bites are bad and deep, but it's puppy hell grow out of it right? Please, this vet is just crazy? I should not do something this crazy! THE DOG IS FAR FROM HARMS his mother because her puppies, killed a ALREADY. my dog eats very well on its own, no need mother. i do not live in the United States and force him to buy, a friend gave me the puppy. I appreciate the answers, but rather the shit! all I want to know is around the tail. thanks
If you feel your vet is wrong, get a second opinion. This said, the week of 4 puppy is supposed to still be with his mother, or at least with his littermates if the mother is deceased. I hope the veterinarian is to teach you how to properly take care of this puppy (feedings every two hours, how to massage his region to make him pee and crap - all things that the mother is supposed to do).
